How do I have artists show up from a compilation on my IPod???

How do I have artists show up from a compilation on my IPod??? Lets use the new album "ShadyXV" for an example. That album is a compilation because it has various artists on the track listings. The artist Eminem has a couple of individual tracks on this specific album. But on my IPod when I search for "Artist > Eminem" the songs aren't there. Other examples are soundtracks or mixes you make yourself. Is there a solution out there? How do I get it so the individual song tracks from all of these compilations that I have (Soundtracks, etc) appear under artists on my IPod?
