Hello is it possible to use Navigation app such ( Sygic ) while Airplane mode is ON ? is the GPS still working? does the GPS thing to do with the sim card and its signal or the data plan ??

No, you cannot. The GPS receiver is turned off when the device is put into Airplane Mode.

When you put the phone in Airplane mode, it turns off all of the transceivers, including GPS. You don't necessarily have to have the phone connected to a cellular account for GPS to work, though many nav apps download maps on the fly so that, without a data connection, they can't download maps.
thanks, so if I use my iPhone 6 for navigation and there is no sim card ( but I already downloaded the Sygic app and its maps ) it will work 100% no need for sim card to be insert or data plane ?

I'm not familiar with that app. If it lets you download all the maps in advance to the phone, it should work. If it doesn't, it won't. Contact the developer.

It appears ios 8.3 allows GPS to stay on, well at least it doesnt say its turned off.
