iMessage - How to enable in Mac only, but not on my iPhone?

Hi all,

Me and my gf both have Macbooks. I have an iphone, but she has a Adnroid phone.

Is there a way to have iMessage enabled on Macbook only, so that the messages don't go to my phone?

I am so used to Messages on my Mac, we would love to chat on the Macbook on it.

But I notice some messages goes to my phone instead of my Mac.

And as for me sending to her, some messages don't end up on her Macbook at all.

Thanks in Advance.

MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)

Step 1. On OS X, find out which addresses are enabled: In Messages, choose Messages > Preferences > Accounts.Select iMessage in the left column. Your contact preferences should appear under "You can be reached for messages at:."

Step 2. Unlink a phone number: tap Settings > Messages > Send & Receive on iPhone. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out. This should remove your phone number from other devices using the same Apple ID with Messages. If the phone number is still available on other devices after you sign out of iMessage on the iPhone, you may need to sign out of iMessage on all your devices, then sign in to Messages again on you Mac want to use.
