Q: not able to log into 4S

Hi,

I have an iPhone 4S and it continues to read 'Sign in to iCloud', Enter the Apple ID password for *****@icloud.com, Cancel or OK.

The currently-displayed  Apple ID of *****@icloud.com is an old ID I previously used on this 4S but have since lost the password. These ***** are there to hide the real letters for the purpose of this discussion.

Now, I have just finished creating a new Apple ID.  This new Apple ID is a *****@hotmail.com account.

When I attempt to sign into iCloud.com using this new Apple ID it states that I must 1st sign into my iPhone 4s before I can sign into iCloud.com.

But when I attempt to sign into my 4S 1st using my newly-created *****@hotmail.com account, the old Apple ID of *****@icloud.com keeps popping up requiring a password that I no longer have...

How can I permit my 4S to show the newly-created *****@hotmail.com(in which I know the password) Apple ID instead of the old Apple ID of *****@icloud.com(in which I do NOT know the password)??

Any assistance to resolve this dilemma would be greatly appreciated.
