Q: my daughter can see my texts

Here's a weird one. My wife and daughter have their own Apple IDs for Mail, Notes, etc, but we all use my Apple ID for Calendar and Contacts. Just recently, my daughter can see all the texts that my wife and I send to each other -- and many others that we send as well. What happened, and how can we fix this? (We just blew a Christmas-gift surprise....)

Hi sonofsy,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

From your post I see that your daughter's iOS device is receiving texts from either you or your wife. What is likely the case here is that iMessage is signed in to her device with one of your Apple ID's. Check out the article below for more information.

Messages
Tap Settings > Messages.
Tap Send & Receive.
Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Tap Use your Apple ID for iMessage.
Enter your Apple ID and password, then tap Sign In.

Sign in with a different Apple ID on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

This helped, though it didn't solve the problem. What it *did* do, though, was lead to me to the correct answer. So yes, this answer solved my problem. Thank you very much, Alex, and merry Christmas.
