Does that Arrangement tab only become available if another display is detected? or should that Arrangement tab be available all the time, regardless if another display is detected?
cables are fully inserted

Does the HDMI input on the TV work when connected to another device using the same cable?
Maybe a bad mini displayport to DVI adopter

Dec 18, 2014 10:43 AM in response to lllaassby filipefromoakville,i have not tried resetting the SMC yet. it sounded intimidating at first review, so perhaps i'll try if other troubleshooting does not work.
unfortunately, i don't have another device to test the HDMI-MiniDisplay cable on. its my only MAC device. all my other devices are window PCs.
