It is a general error that can mean almost anything. ie it is unexpected error.. ie something didn't work so we thought up a stupid number even for that.

Google as you need to give specifics.. what operation caused the error.. we have no idea..

Here is a good example of the problem that has to do with copying files.. including the useless comment to google for it.. and how to fix it in a particular version of OSX.. remember your version and this version can be different.

Re: The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -8058).

If you tell us precisely what you are trying to do.. how the Time Capsule is related to it.. and what OS you are using we might be able to suggest some fixes..

At the moment we know nothing much at all.

Running what OS.. I would say it is a typical Yosemite issue but please confirm.

Please mount the TC disk manually.. ie in Finder use Go, Connect to Server.

Type in

AFP://10.0.1.1 (replace with actual IP your TC uses)

or use

SMB://10.0.1.1 (Same deal replace with actual IP).

When asked for the disk access password give it and store it in the keychain.

Now you have a properly mounted TC.. try again.. if drag and drop fails try a copy and paste.

Same error try a reboot of the whole network.. and remount of the TC and start over.

This is caused by poor networking in Yosemite.. but I am making assumptions.. as you still need to give us all the info.
