2014 Macbook Pro Retina screen flickering and distortion

I purchased the top of the line Mid 2014 Macbook Pro 15 inch with Retina display a few months ago. While browsing the web the lower half of the screen started flickering and distorting while the top half remains fine. I have tried restarting the computer but it still flickers as soon as it is turned on. It is a big disappointment when you invest over $3000 for a top of the line machine and these problems occur so soon. If anyone know any fixes or information on this it will be much appreciated.

Hi dominic23,

Thanks for the information. I tried all the above mentioned fixes but non of them work. The screen continues to flicker severely on the bottom half and a lot of ghost images appear when I reset the laptop. I have also tried all those so called wifi fixes to no avail. It's an absolute inconvenience spending that much money and getting problems so soon. This is my first big disappointment with Apple. Thanks again for the help dominic23 if there are any other fixes or information you can provide please feel free to do so, any help will be much appreciated.
