Charging but not showing up on iTunes

I'm having the same problem. I've tried everything recommended on the website and still can't use my ipod. Any help at all?

i'm having the exact same problem, but only since i downloaded 7.1. before that, i didn't have any ipod specific problems :/

I'm having the same issue. Everything was okay, until i downloaded the new i tunes. Now when i connect my nano to the computer it says not to remove, but it does not pop up in the device section in I tunes. When i go into My Computer, it doesn't show up as well. It only shows up on the device manager, and it has a small yellow exclamation sign, but it is not like the examples that are shown (upset ipod with the ! sign, or a folder with the ! sign) The help website stinks and is of no use what so ever. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am also having this problem. I like having Itunes 7.0, much more helpful for downloading things (moving them up and down the queue and such) but the most important thing is that I cannot get my Ipod to pop up in Itunes. It used to be that it would show at all, I did some of the fixes on the forum to try to get it to work and now when I plug it in, it will charge and even have Itunes pop up, but it will still not register the Nano as being there.

It's been this way for a couple weeks now, are there no solutions for this?

I tried to install an earlier version of Itunes because I'm running version 1.0.1 on my nano. I uninstalled itunes 7 and installed version 6.0.5. However, when I tried to run it, it said that my itunes library could not be accessed because it was created under a newer version of itunes. So I'm back to square one. Can someone please help? This is getting ridiculous.

I uninstalled the itunes 7 and downloaded the itunes 6 through that link you gave me, but now when i click on the icon, it says that the itunes library has some kind of error due to itunes 7. Did you do anything differently when you reinstalled it? Also, do you know of a quick way to contact apple to have someone fix this? Again, thatnks for all your help
