I have a iMac with OS X Mountain Leopard. My Magic mouse suddenly stopped working, bluetooth is connected, battery is charged but the cursor is stuck at the apple logo and won't move. Any suggestions?

Could you clarify exactly what OS you have. You cannot have Mountain Leopard; it doesn't exist. And you have 10.6.8 Snow leopard as your profile OS.
I suspect you need to do an SMC reset but do sort out your details
Sorry for the mix up i have 10.6.8 snow leopard. I tried SMC but didn't change anything.
Have you tried a PRAM reset.? You may have to do this three or four times.
Done PRAM thrice. No change.
Do you have another mouse in the room or have you recently introduced something, a telephone base unit for example. It may be that something is conflicting with your mouse.
NNo . Nothing. It started in the middle of trying to skype!
I suggest you scan through this article. I cannot think of another source for the problem.
