Q: Gifting an app unlimited amount ?

Hi I am currently in the process of getting an app ready to submit to app store.  I was going to put it on kickstarter to see if I can get some of it funded.  I wanted to give out free apps to donators on it.  Can I give an unlimted amount of apps out through the gift your app option ?  Or is there a cap ?  What is the process for giving out a large amount ?

    If you do not have a set number that you would like to gift, I would contact iTunes, as you would probably have to set up some sort of special arrangement. Best of luck to you!

    From the consumer's (not the developer's) perspective, gifting works like this:

     

    I specify I am going to gift an app to a specific individual (email address required).  The amount of the gift is immediately deducted from my Apple ID account.

     

    So if I choose to gift, to, say, 392 people, and the app costs $1, then I would supply the 392 email addresses and the source of payment associated with my Apple ID would be debited $392.
