How can I watch 1080p movies and tv shows on my Apple TV (3rd Generation) using Home Sharing from my iTunes library on my Mac? whenever I try to watch something that's suppose to be in 1080p ends up in lower quality. Not as bad as SD, but i'd really like to watch my movies and tv shows in 1080p using Home Sharing. Please help.

My HDTV and Apple TV (3rd Generation) both have 1080p, and 1080p is set in the Apple TV settings, and the movies and TV shows in my iTunes library are all downloaded in 1080p, but I still can't get any videos to play in 1080p over Home Sharing or even Airplay (mirroring and not mirroring), and I don't have fast enough Wi-Fi to play the movies or TV shows in the cloud on my Apple TV. I've searched everywhere online, and I can't find any answers. Please help.

Home sharing is simply accessing your local library, it won't lower quality. Mirroring will compress content as it needs to in order to display everything over real time.

If on wifi try ethernet

Make sure there are no other activities occurring (streaming, network backups etc)

Go to istumbler or similar to get a network report, look for signal strength, noise, nearby networks
