Put me on this same list. Apple will lose a whole family of customers from this household. 700 dollar brick because it's over a year.

I have this exact same problem. Here's a youtube video with someone experiencing the exact same thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37kEMEmA5jo

Will Apple have a recall or replacement program for this issue? They've done replacement programs before: https://www.apple.com/support/iphone5-sleepwakebutton/

If your warranty is out, its a $399 solution from Apple. Otherwise, it's free if you have an extended warranty.

i have had the same issue. apple won't do anything to help me i originally went to them with this issue at 5 days over my warrantee, said the problem wasn't there cause it was not happening to me when i was there. i put it aside and used my old iPhone. i have read up about this now and I'm almost 60 days over my warranty and i went in to talk to them again. cause i don't have an apple store locally."the apple genius" brushed me off. currently am not happy about this and now i need to pay for a full price of a new phone.

I have had this problem with My 6 plus 2 times and had it replaced under warranty.

This is going to be the third time this glitch happens.(Not covered under warranty)

    After this might reconsider brand.

My wife has the 6 and no problems.

Maybe just something with the 6 plus

Just a quick update on the issue of "Flickering" on the screen.

Since my iPhone 6plus is out of warranty and Apple have not taken responsibility after so many complains globally about it, I have managed to diagnose the issue and isolate it to the Touchscreen Controller and the Touchscreen Line Driver on the Main Board.

I bought a damage phone and replaced the 2 ICs and now, it works fine. I wouldn't recommend that you do it yourself unless you have the right tools for it.

I'm also experiencing the same issue with my iPhone Plus 128 GB. This is the third phone I have had with this issue! I'm on my second replacement phone. The screen went bad on the first replacement phone within 5 days. I didn't even get a chance to activate the second replacement phone before I noticed the screen was bad. While I was at the Apple Store dealing with this for the second time, the only other guy waiting to speak to an apple tech was having the exact same issue with his phone! He was on his second replacement. He had it for less than a month. This is totally unacceptable!

I Had same problem, finally took off screen protector and now it's fine. My screen protector was high quality and was made out of glass.

Same problem for me. iPhone 6 plus, 128GB, that started with the flickering and unresponsive screen.

I went to the genius bar and the Agent said:

    -  "Yes, many customers have had this use already".

    - "Yes, Apple knows about the issue because, as I said, you're not the only one"

In the end, as my phone is out of warranty, the option they offer is to buy a replacement (same iPhone 6 plus) for not less than $325 USD. The worst part of this whole issue is that they ended up by saying:

"We don't recommend buying the replacement of you're current phone considering that iPhone 6 plus hardware may be affected again..." They recommended to by an iPhone 6s plus which don't have the issue so far (more than $800USD retail price).

Why apple won't start the recall program if they do know there's an issue with multiple iPhone 6 plus devices!? So disappointing they don't care about their customers.

My iPhone 6+ does the same thing. Going to make an appointment but I'm sure they'll say it's out of warranty and to buy a new phone. With Apple stocks dropping, might not hurt to send an email to Tim Cook.

I bought my iPhone 6 plus in 2013 so it's out of warranty. However the 'genius' told me they would replace it under consumer rights.

Unfortunately, the replacement device has exactly the same problem..! Even during the backup restore wizard I had the flickering.

I'm currently on the phone with support to get it sorted...

FYI: I was just told that a phone under 50 days old will be replaced by a new phone, else you will probably get a reconditioned phone as replacement.

I wanted to chime in here as well.

My iphone 6 plus started flickering - top band and then the screen would be unresponsive to touches.  There were ways to get it to work by twisting the phone etc.

I called up apple support pretty upset as the phone was almost unuseable.  I was out of warranty.   They did do a one time courtesy so my recommendation is to call and be persistent.

at the apple store the genius knew of this issue and knew the tricks (bending the phone) to get the phone to work.

Now get this.  My replacement iphone as i was waiting for it to update instore also failed.   the screen went nuts!    flashing and it even had a weird bleached streak at the top.    So that replacement was replaced.

Not sure what's going on with apple's QC process but having owned all previous generations this is the worst designed iphone.

    Good luck everyone.
