Q: iPad 2 camera using excessive storage

My son's iPad 2 is currently using 6.3GB storage. Prior to the last IOS update it was using 6.2GB storage. He has minimal photos on the iPad, and 3 videos - none are big. Is there a way to fix this to give him more storage room?
