Q: What to do in case that the phone is unlocked (by O2) but the non-O2 sim is not supported in Itunes?

my iphone5s has been successfully unlocked by my carrier (O2) but when I inserted the non-O2 sim and connected it with the itunes it does not seem to be supported.Any ideas on that?

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.1.2
