When using safari on ipad 2 getting a security alert: suspicious activity might have been detected. Major security issue. To fix it please call support for apple 1 855-326-4813 (toll free) immediately! Cannot use Safari, is locked.

Scam - do not call. Reset your iPad - hold down home button and sleep button until

you see the Apple logo appear (ignore the power off slider if it comes up). You may need

to delete your cache in Safari.

Thank you! One of our iPads had this alert today (February 12, 2016). I suspected a scam, and followed the advice given above. The problem is now solved, and we are back to using the iPad - without the frozen Safari "ALERT"!!!
