Q: How would you make a video like this?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMA0I6BrE5I
What elements are required for the 3 major components in a simple video like the one stated above?
The number, the text and the video. I realise their probably all possible through PiP.
However I wanted to know how would you go about creating a similar video.
I think my ignorance on the abilities of Final Cut Pro X leads me to the quick conclusion that its very inflexible.
I was wanting input as to learn further.
Thanks for all the help.
Cheers

I own Motion5, so I would quick'n dirty staple my own lower-thirds together...
In FCPX only, you have to staple the elements:
- in the storyline, there's some background.
- Then, there's the snake-video, Transform Tool to resize&place, Effect Drop Shadow to apply .. eehm, a drop shadow
- The dropping Number could be accomplished by a key-framed title, again: more convenient to create that in Motion
- Finally, the lower third is some graphic + a title. To create that 'snake in'-effect, you should compound it and key frame the distortion tool. Again, for regular use, I would create my own, 'snaker'-lower third in Motion5 ...
