Q: new mail message box too big and not resizable

For some reason when I open a new message in Mail the message window is way too big about 18 inches wide on a 15 inch screen. It is also not resizable. This is something new that happened yesterday. I haven't found any correct answers to my problem anyway. Thanks.

It may be opening in the Full Screen Mode. Try command - control - F.

new message window in Yosemite Mail is way to big for a small screen

Nope. Seems like no one knows and we do an archive and install of the OS. ??
