Driving me nuts - how do I 'save as' a document from numbers? If I use cmd S it disappears I know not where.........I need a drop down that will let me choose where to save it. If I use numbers help, it shows the big wobbling arrow that points to an imaginary drop down menu with 'save as' in it....
I have a MacBookAir 13" from 2013. OS X 10.9.5. 1.7Ghz Intel Core i7

In most applications, "Save As" appears in File menu (in the menu bar), and the "Duplicate" option turns into "Save As" while holding the Alt key. This should apply to Numbers too, so try it.

There is no Save As from straight menu.
So choose save and give it a name.
Choose Rename, give it a new name. It overwrites the other file name.
Unless you do the Option (see Mende1) when you pull down the Find. Then you get Save As.

It drove me nuts too at first - Preview has the same 'feature'.
Plus the fact that the apps disappear once you exit them so using command - tab to flip thru apps can be frustrating.
Now I just stay nuts.
