Q: Water damage, first worked now it wont turn on

Hi,

So Thursday I decided to take a bath and I have this bath board and I put my Macbook which I got in 2010 on it.

The bath board slipped and my laptop go a little bit wet. I put it on the side and I dried the outside with a towel.

It didn't shut down or anything so I continued to watch my movie. Then a few problems occured.

1. When I typed in the letter P the capital button (the putton you press in to type in capitals) was switched on

2. When I tried to mute the sound completely the system preferences opened

3. When I pressed on the 'esc' button it would turn off

4. When I closed it, it fell off

5. The touchpad didnt really work correctly

After I all these problem occured I just switched off. Later in the evening it turned it on and the same problems were there but I still used it.

Friday, the day after, the touchpad worked correctly and I didn't have the letter 'P' problem anymore. I didnt use it that much that day because I had some friends coming over and I needed to work. After work I went to the cinema and I only used my laptop that night for like 1 or 2 hours.

On Saturday I also didnt use it that much because it was my sisters birthday, I only used it for 40 minutes and nothing had changed. I had charged it and it seemed to work good enough. Later in the evening I switched it on and then these two hard dics apperead on the screen. I could choose from mactonish blabla or the recovery disc. I choose recovery and then I needed to choose a WiFi network. I choose my home network but when I needed to type the password for the WiFi network in the dots that represented the letters didnt show up. So I switched my laptop off and since then it wont turn on.

I don't know what to do at this point. I'm going on a holiday tomorrow. I've read some of these apple support answers but the answers where so mixed.

What is remarkable is that my laptop didnt shut down after contact with water. Currently it is lying on the central heating.

My laptop was a white Macbook from 2010, I'm not sure how much GB it had and I think the operating system I had was (atleast) Mac OS X Lion. Oh and the bottom of the laptop is missing.Brt8NtbIQAAn003.jpg As far as I know I didnt have a lot of memory left.

Someone please help me,

Kind Regards

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7), null
