5th Generation iPod and trying took hook it up to my Bose Wave Radio.

I just received my 5th Generation iPod and trying took hook it up to my Bose Wave Radio. I have the Wave connect kit for my original iPod Classic. I did purchase an Apple Lightning to 30-pin Adapter. I cannot get the sound to come through my Wave Radio.
Not sure what I am doing wrong.

iPod touch, iOS 8.1.2, null

You can try the following:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

However, some older dock/devices are not compatible with the Lighting to 30-pin adopter. have yo went to Bose's support site?

Are you connecting the iPod to the dock

http://www.bose.com/controller?url=/shop_online/wave_systems/accessories/wave_3_ dock_acc.jsp

with the Lightning to 30-pin adopter?

If I click on the link in that page for iPhone/iPod compatibility the 5G iPod is not listed. As I said before, the Lightning to 30-pin adopter does not work with all older docks. The dock is old since it has a 30-pin connector.

Before I answered you I wanted to give Bose a call. I was told that even though my Wave System was older I should be able to make the new iPod touch work with it. He gave me a couple of suggestion.

1st he told the that the Lightning to 30-pin Adapter I purchase was really not sturdy enough and suggested I get one that had a that had the cord to it that way I could lay the iPod down. He also suggested using a Bose Bluetooth accessory (http://www.bose.com/controller?url=/shop_online/home_theater/accessories/bluetoo th_audio_adapter/index.jsp&color=bl)

I want to thank you for your help. It was very much appreciated.
