Can't find Bootcamp partition after installing Yosemite

So here is my new thread regarding to a question I asked to user Loner T: I've been reading some of your posts about the bootcamp problem after upgrading to Yosemite, but I couldn't figure my problem cause it wasn't the same as the one I was reading. This is what my Disk Utility shows after I followed your instructions, could you please help me? Thanks!

It would be good to see the output of the following commands...

diskutil list

diskutil cs list (your GPT2 entry indicates a CS volume)

sudo fdisk /dev/disk0

sudo dd if=/dev/rdisk0s4 count=1 2>/dev/null | hexdump -C

Was your GPT4 entry modified in any way after the Yosemite upgrade?

Did you use Testdisk to locate the NTFS header? If yes, do you have the same information (output of the same commands) after the Yosemite upgrade and before getting into this state?

Hi, I'm sorry I really don't know what my GPT4 was before, this is the second time I've heard about it and I actually don't know what it means. I have just installed Testdisk, but i don't know how to use the program, how should I locate the NTFS header? Thank you for your help.

Each of these parts has an ordinal position. They are referred to as GPT 1, GPT 2, GPT 3, GPT 4 and so on.

I have just installed Testdisk, but i don't know how to use the program, how should I locate the NTFS header? Thank you for your help.

You may want to look at Bootcamp disk0s4 gone after Yosemite update as an example.

Testdisk scans your disk to locate partition headers which may not match the GPT [1...n] entries and show 'lost' partitions.

There is also a http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Step_By_Step guide, which helps. Yosemite may have caused some issues. If you have attempted to resize your Windows partition using Disk Utility and/or a third-party partitioning tool, Yosemite can get confused and create entries that cause Windows not to work properly.

You do not seem to be using the EFI/GPT partition map. Can you switch to that?

No worries. 😉

When you start Testdisk, it asks to you choose the type of partitioning scheme the disk is. Choose EFI/GPT.

Sorry! I was away for the holidays and couldn't bring my Mac with me. I'll start again cause I wanna do it right. When I choose the disk I'm gonna scan, which one should it be? I think I made the partition for about 180 GB, so should I choose the third disk (545GB)? Just to be sure 🙂, btw happy new year!

Disk1 is a Logical volume. Use /dev/rdisk0, which has the BC volume.

It took a lot of time, this appeared, the only thing I can do is to continue, but what makes me wonder is that it doesn't show what the next step on the http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Step_By_Step tutorial shows, am I on the right track?
