My camera has strange reflection of light in the lens

User uploaded fileas you may see the lights on my are making dots that appear on the floor and im not sure why... There was no dots on the floor and the camera is like reflecting the light weirdly In the picture only

Same here. It's not defect with your phone, it's a defect with all of them. Add it to the list of things that Apple needs to fix before the next iPhone model. Basically any source of light in the frame causes this. I think it could be fixed with a software update to the ISP but I'm not holding my breath. The iPhone 6 is the most disappointing Apple product I have ever purchased.

Maybe defect is not the right word but I would venture to guess, considering that it's present on all iPhones I have access to (albeit a limited quantity), and because my camera is functioning normally otherwise, that this is happening because of the lens design or because of the current software and exchanging the phone will likely not help.

That's not for you to decide. That's between Apple and that customer.

And these are pictures taken in poor quality light. And every cell phone in the world has, to be honest, an inferior camera to an actual camera. You're never going to get the same range of capabilities in a cell phone camera as you would in even a small point & shoot digital camera.
