I need the settings for a mail provider, fsmail, to add the mail to my iPhone 6. Can anyone help ? I have tried contacting the provider, which is EE, but they are impossible to get anything out of.

I have an old female.net account, which I want to manually add to my iPhone. However I can't find all the necessary settings to be able to do so. Can anyone help ? the provider, EE, has proved impossible to get anything from.

iPhone 6, iOS 8.1.2, 128 GB

Well, in that case, you need to log into your account at female.net and get the mail setting from there.

Mail accounts have nothing to do with your carrier - they just provide your phone connection, so it's not really surprising that EE were not helpful, because this e-mail account has nothing to do with them.

Go to female-net and get the mail setting from there because the account is with them.

Hang on...are we talking "female" or FS mail? FS Mail is presumably an old Freeserve account, which is now part of EE (previously Orange)?. So I can see why you might have thought EE could help. Best to see if you can find anything on Google. If not, I would recommend moving away from FS Mail (I think they were only provided to customers of Freeserve as part of their internet package) to something more user-friendly for iPhones - like Gmail or Yahoo.

Hi Everybody, thanks for the replies. Of course AKRBTN is right it IS fsmail.net (predictive text not checked). It is actually provided by EE as others have said but Im guessing they would prefer everyone to stop using what were, it has rightly been pointed out, old Freeserve accounts, and that is why it is impossible to get any kind of detail. Ive had this one for many years and have it as my email address on a number of sites, hence the reluctance to get rid. I am already using gmail and yahoo, but just wanted to add this to the email set up on phone / pad so that I wouldn't have to keep logging in via the full site. Might have to bite the bullet and update everything and let it go ! In any case, thanks for all your replies. Andy
