iTunes Gift Card

Hi, I just got a new iPhone 6 and an email generated iTunes gift card for $100. I wanted to redeem the credits for music, apps and in app purchases however the code didn't work when I tried to redeem. It gave me an option to put it in my passbook, I clicked on that and it was there. However, there is no literature I have found so far on how to apply my iTunes gift card thats stored in my passbook to use to purchase apps using Apple app store, in app purchases or music from iTunes. Does anyone know how to make this work?

Please advise.

Are you sure it's an iTunes gift card and not an Apple Store gift card? Sounds like it's an Apple Store gift card. They are different animals.

You're right!

I just double checked and it's an Apple Store Gift card.

The only problem, we don't have an official Apple Store on Maui. its on Oahu. I'm guessing if I wanted an iTunes card I would have to order it online and wait for them to ship it out to me. It seems like a waste of time and headache to go through the process just to get Apple to fly out a gift card to me.

Do you know if I can redeem it online without having a physical card?
