Problem with driver for EMI 2/6

Hello. I have installed the A62/A26 driver into my iBook but Logic cant read it. The driver is in the Startup items folder and I couldnt exactly say which item it is as theres nothing in there called a 'driver' per se. However the installer thinks its in there. But Logic cant see it. Is there something else I should be doing?

iBook G4, Mac OS X (10.4.6)

Have you changed your Audio Pref settings by choosing the right Driver ?
Have you got information of the EMI in the Audio Midi Setup (utilities ƒ) ?

The audio preferences window cannot find the driver....it found it once after I had clicked on everything that seemed relevant in the Startup Items folder, but never again. So there is something in there.

I havent used the Audio Midi Setup before. Can you tell me where it is?

I have given up looking for an answer to this and have bought a new audio interface.
