Q: command + C, uppercase "e" not working

Suddenly command+C, command+V and uppercase for letter e do not work anymore on my Mac. I tried repairing permissions and empty system cache but to no avail. I also tried under a different user account but problem is still there. It happens only with the external Apple keyboard, but I don't think it's an hardware problem, since lowercase e works, so does shift key and all other shortcuts with command work too.
