Is there any way to lock the volume controls on iPhone 6?

Is there any way to lock the volume controls on the side of the iPhone 6? Each time I touch/pick up phone, I inadvertently decrease/increase volume...

iPhone 6, iOS 8.1.2

If you disable the "Change with buttons" setting, the buttons will still control the general volume (music, games, etc) but will NOT change the ringer or alarm sound settings (keyboard clicks also fall into this category but is not mentioned). This lets you use the volume up/down buttons to change the general volume level without changing the ringer and alarm volume levels...it keeps you from inadvertently turning down the ringer or alarm volume and missing calls and alarms.

That being said, there's no way to totally disable the volume up/down buttons from doing something volume related.
