Dec 22, 2014 2:12 PM in response to AvilaK123by Niel,If you’re able to boot Mac OS 9 completely, open the Startup Disk control panel and select the Mac OS X system.
If Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X are on separate partitions, press Option at restart, click on the Mac OS X system, and then reselect it as the startup disk.

Dec 22, 2014 11:35 PM in response to AvilaK123by Don Archibald,As Niel suggested, pressing the X key at startup should force the machine to boot using OS X.
When doing this, you should press the X key about the same time the startup chimes sound, and you should continue to hold the X key down until you are sure the machine has started to boot using OS X.
Note that if the keyboard you are using is not an Apple one, it may not be compatible with the standard set of Mac OS startup commands.
