How do I run PC-CD games from my mac?

I have a RollerCoaster Tycoon CD that runs on Windows 95/98. I really want to play it and I've tried just about everything, but I don't know anything about this process and I'm looking for someone to walk me through it. I'm not looking to pay anything. I blindly bought it on steam, but that's only for Windows too. So I have the disc and it on steam. What applications should I download and what steps can I take? I don't know much so a detailed walkthrough would be awesome. Thanks!

Try using CrossOver Games or Wine. If they don’t work, you’ll need to either buy and use a copy of Windows or find the Mac OS X version of the game.

If the games are formatted to be used on Windows 95/98, I doubt they will run on anything newer. And if they are formatted as PC games, they wouldn't work on a Mac, unless you had Windows loaded in Bootcamp.

One method to run W95/W98 is to use a Virtualization engine, Fusion and Parallels are commercial products, but VirtualBox may be an option (https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Guest_OSes) . You will likely encounter Graphics issues related to versions of DirectX on 95/98. You at least need a copy of W95/98.

if it's older dos games they may work under dosbox which is also a free OS X product
