I assume your TV has HDMI.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
- Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
- Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
- Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
- Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
- Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
- Restart your mobile device.

Dec 23, 2014 10:32 AM in response to Frank Caggianoby Whitefla,Hi Frank,
I have a DKC 850. It is connected to my ipad via the headphone jack. I can airplay the entire performance to my apple tv but I want my piano to play the keys and play the audio. When I airplay it to the apple tv, the piano sound shuts down completely.

Dec 23, 2014 11:00 AM in response to Whiteflaby Frank Caggiano,Not to familiar with AirPlay on the iPad bit I'm pretty sure that when you do output via AirPlay all signals both video and audio go out via airplay there is no sound coming out of the headphone jack.
You can test this easily, while using AirPlay to send the video to the TV connect your earbuds and listen, do you hear anything? I'm guessing you won't.
If that is the case you could get an digital audio to analog converter connected to the Apple TV and use the audio out on the Apple TV.
