The only way to do this is by performing a certain action at launch (when computer is turning on). It is similar to what the genius bar workers do at any apple store. If you do not feel comfortable doing this, you can bring it in to an apple store, and at the genius bar they will do everything for you! If you are tech savvy and want to do it by yourself, here is how:

Note: Make sure everything is unplugged from your mac when you are doing this.

    1. Shut Down you mac

    2. As you are turning it back on, quickly press the CMD and R Keys together until you see the OS X Utilities screen

    3. Click "Disk Utility", then continue

    4. Go to applications > Utilities > Disk Utility

    5. You will see your hard drive name listed twice. You will want to click on the 2nd name.

    6. Click the erase button and choose an option that says something to do with erasing all content or restoring to factory settings.

    7. Let it erase everything for a while, then you're done!

If I were you, I would go to an apple store, or simply call to review this but it's up to you!

    Hope this helped!

P.S. I just looked in the normal disk utility app that comes with every mac, and there is an erase option from there too! Not sure how this works but I would look into that too!
