Why do you think you have to upgrade to Mavericks?

Dec 22, 2014 8:55 PM in response to Allan Eckertby taronger, thanks for your reply - going from 10.6.8 to yosemite is too much of a change for me - some of my applications may not work with yosemite - But, now that I think of it I will wait - I purchased a replacement Imac for my wife older machine. When the new computer arrives it will have either 10.8 or 10.9 (i Did not buy Yosemite) - I will use that disk to update my Imac -

Dec 23, 2014 10:16 AM in response to Eric Rootby taronger,Thanks for the tip - I will check into it - However, I have kept a PowerPc machine to cover such an eventuality. I did not have to use it for the last five years. But, if i need any documents from that era I will be able to research my old files on that PowerPc.

Dec 23, 2014 11:05 AM in response to tarongerby Spencer5051,I also need to download OS X Mavericks and no I don't want to install Yosemite for business reasons. I'm not sure why companies like Apple and Citrix think its a good idea to stop offering these products. I mean, I know they have their reasons, but its such a pain in the butt. In two separate jobs I've worked in I've need to find software that the company no longer hosts. Its quite frustrating and the alternative of downloading from 3'rd parties doesn't leave me all warm inside.
I've tried the App store on mac and it seems like they completely removed it, so I would be grateful if someone could point me to an Apple sponsored link or I will just contact them directly.
Thanks

Dec 23, 2014 11:17 AM in response to Spencer5051by Allan Eckert,As far as I know there is none.
You can contact them directly for what it is worth.
Be aware that besides being illegal, the non-Apple sites with OS X download are usually choke full of all kinds of malware also.
