Q: Help!! Logic8 doesn't recognize Apogee Jam.

Hi im running logic8 with os10.6.8. i have apogee jam96k which is definitely communicating correctly with macbook and garageband but for some reason logic isn't finding it at all. it is not showing in the core audio options drop menu and the "apogee control panel" tab is greyed out too. I installed all the hardware drivers that came with the logic studio package. Any ideas?
