Dec 23, 2014 9:25 PM in response to Willie Neumannby sberman,Have you checked the "Cards" area of Settings > Passbook & Apple Pay?
-
Dec 29, 2014 5:40 AM in response to sbermanby Willie Neumann,Yes I have and there are no cards listed. Only option is to set up a new card. When I do, I get the Card already in Passbook error. There is a ghost card in there somewhere.

Apr 20, 2015 8:33 PM in response to Willie Neumannby stillmadatyoko, having this error after restoring and not finding any solutions that work. Talked with apple support and they pawned me off and said it was my bank's fault and that I need to talk to them to resolve this. lame. of course there's absolutely nothing on my credit card's site about apple pay.

Apr 21, 2015 5:20 AM in response to stillmadatyokoby CRD77,Well I had the same problem. I tried everything to get it added but nothing worked. Ended up going to the Apple Store and they replaced my phone after they tried everything I had done. The tech guy and I think that when apple pay gives your cc a special number that it gets deeply encoded for security. I don't think there was anyway that anyone can get rid of coding for the credit card. I also called american express and lol they sent me back to the apple help desk.

I can't enter the card so I never get to the "use card on iCloud" message you refer to.
Even after wiping, restoring, wiping and doing a clean install, my phone still says "This Card is Already in Passbook"

Jul 16, 2015 9:06 PM in response to saintgemby Rudy,Yes. I called Apple Support and went through a the erase/reinstall/clean install process and other tests with no luck.
I made an appointment and went to my local Apple store where they went through a number of tests and couldn't add my card. The phone kept saying the card was already in Passbook but it wasn't listed so it couldn't be removed. They gave me a replacement phone.
