Q: Apple TV stops streaming with erroneous loss of connection to itunes

I have an AppleTV 3rd Generation.  When we stream anything from Apple or Netflix, it will run for about 1-2 minutes, then stop saying it has lost a connection to Apple or Netflix.  We have another AppleTV using the same iTunes account that is about a year newer.  We swapped it from one TV to the other.  It works just fine.  Streams the exact same stuff with no problems.  Is this just a hardware defect that I need to just get it replaced?  Serial number C0HK8JAJFF54
