Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that you are unable to control your iPhone via your car controls. I have experienced this issue myself and forcing all open applications, restarting your phone may resolve this issue. Make sure to try additional cables as well. If this issue persists, try the remaining troubleshooting steps in the second article below.

Dec 26, 2014 4:37 PM in response to jason269by 10sgal,★HelpfulDoing a reset on my phone helped allow me controls on the infotainment system, as I have the same car as the original poster. I am still having issues, however, with Voice Command. I can see and select all my albums manually on the infotainment system, but that's obviously not ideal while driving. When I attempt to use the Voice Commands, I continually get "The music catalogue is loading. Please try again later." The trouble is, I can never seem to get it to finish "loading", though, as I said, I can see it and select all my music. Just not through the Voice Command. Can you, by chance, advise, as I am quite against searching through my 1,000s of songs by hand while navigating the highway. Thanks kindly for your feedback.
