Does anyone know how to add macrons (for the NZ Maori language) above certain letters on the keyboard. I've just changed to 10.10.1 and cannot find instructions.

I'm on a new iMac iOS 10.10.1 and need to learn how to add macrons (for the NZ Maori language) to the keyboard. I used to be able to press alt and the letter to get the macron.

Have gone to Language/Region and selected Maori as the language. Still no change.

Have restarted since changing language but still no luck.

Have googled instructions but cannot find.

Thanks

iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013), 10.10.0

Go to system prefs/keyboard/iinput sources and use the plus and add buttons to add the Maori keyboard layout, then select that in the "flag" menu a the top right of the screen.

An alternative is to add the US Extended layout, which you can make macrons via alt + a, then the vowel.

There has never been any way to make macrons with the NZ, US, or British layouts.
