Q: is Sysprep necessary
i have a 2006 Mac Pro with a windows 7 boot camp install on a partition on one of my drives.
is it really necessary to run Sysprep on this partition prior to trying to migrate it over to the new 2012 Mac Pro?
i am planning on just moving the HARD DRIVE to the new machine and i did this by just popping the new drive in the new machine and i seemed to be able to boot to the windows partition without a problem.
i would very much like to do it right as opposed to quick.
THANKS
i am running Lion on the 2006 mac pro and yosemite on the 2012 mac pro but i am not totally sure if this matters at all when it comes to boot camp installations...
Mac Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.1)
