Q: Sound muffled during phone calls

My Iphone 5C is running on 8.1.2 and it seems like my speaker is muffled and very low when I'm on the phone. However, the volume is perfect listening to music, my ringtone, etc. Any ideas on what is wrong?

If you can't hear a person on a call or voicemail or if the sound quality is poor on iPhone
