Q: Unlocking

Hi everyone, after asking 02 to unlock my iPhone they advised that I should back up my phone as usual through itunes and all would be well. Unfortunately, this is not the case and I am at my wits end trying to get the bloomin' thing to work! When inserting the Difrent sim, the phone tells me that the "sim network is restricted" and gives me no signal at all. Is there anything else I should do in order to get it working? If any of you could offer any help at all I would be so grateful, i done back up and phone reseting. Still not see new network

Sounds like they didn't give you full instructions for how to complete the unlock.

They send me instruction by message. Tell me to connect phone to itunes,yes i reset Iphone as new. Nothing happend.

If another SIM isn't working, you need to contact O2 again. It can take anywhere from a few days to several weeks for the unlock to be processed. From what I've seen, some UK carriers are not very good about doing this and will draw out the process as long as they can.

You can also contact Apple and provide the serial number of the device & they can tell you if it shows as unlocked in their database. If not, you need to escalate this with O2 until they take care of this properly.
