my phone needs unlocking after using a tmobile sim in it yet apple says all phones are unlocked when bought but tmobile cannot help me on this so I'm hoping I can get help here

If you're in the UK, phones sold by Carphone Warehouse will lock to the first carrier used.
ONLY the carrier the phone is locked to can authorize unlocking it.
Thanks a lot For your reply. Got the phone from apple so I don't know why it cannot take another sim after inserting the tmobile one. I haven't heard anyone with a different type of phone complain of this so it seems to apply to apple. Its a shame I had to get another phone to use so this one is just in my draw I have kept it longer than I have used it
I purchased my t-moble phone from t-mobile and I'm paying it off on an installment plan. T-mobile won't unlock the phone to be able to be used with another carrier until I pay off the purchase price. If you purchased directly from Apple and paid a non discounted price ($649 for iPhone 6 with 16mb) Then you should be able to have t-mobile unlock the iPhone. Have you tried contacting t-mobile? If so what did that say?

Merry Christmas, thanx for the reply. Yes I have spoken to them but because I didn't purchase the phone from them they cannot get it unlocked. I have spoken to different people pleaded, explained myself nothing worked. I have also contacted Apple who also said they couldn't help so apple asked me to contact tmobile and tmobile asked me to contact apple so I went in circles till I gave up, it's been six months now just feel disappointed I only used the phone to set it up with my tmobile sim them but that was it, can't use it anymore unless it's a tmobile sim which I don't have anymore.

Yes I bought it full price. I live in the uk and paying in instalments is like getting a loan many don't get approved for it.

Can I get my phone unlocked? It's locked on tmobile because it's the first SIM card I used when I got the phone from apple
