iphone6 doesn't find bose bluetooth headset

I got the advice to keep the phone-button in for 5 seconds after I switched on the Bluetooth on the iphone and Bose earpiece (I use the 206L(2)) and the phone picked the Bose earpiece up successfully.

headset needs to be put in pairing / discovery mode to connect to new devices read the manual of the headset as how you do that

I just bought a new Bose Wave III a week ago. It paired fine with my IPhone5. Got a new IPhone6 yesterday, and it can't pair with the Bose device. I bought an iphone6 for my wife at the same time. It also will not pair with the Bose Wave III. The iphone6 DOES pair with my Subaru, and with another older Bose blue tooth speaker device I own. SO, I don't think it is your particular phone. I have read that inability pair with many types of bluetooth devices is a common problem with the iPhone6. Not sure what is gong on here, whether the problem is with the iPhone6 or the Bose device. I've tried all the fixes Apple suggested to try to make it pair , but nothing works. According to what I've read, the new Bose Wave III used the ARVCP 1.4 protocol, which IPhone6 is supposed to recognize---they ain't talking to each other however. SO, you are not alone, my friend.

Have you checked with Bose to see if there's a firmware update available?

If you press your in your bose headset the "phone button" during 5 seconds, your Iphone 6 will find Bose headset and confirm the connection.

I dont believe it has been solved completely. The WAVE III issue is still outstanding.

I don't understand what you mean by "pressing the "phone button" during 5 seconds." Do you mean for five seconds? Within the first five seconds of turning it on? Please clarify. And, by the way, I've tried various combinations and my iPhone 6 will not pair with my earpiece, but it does with my other Bose products.
