Q: Clear plastic triangular bracket included with LCD Studio Display?

I purchased a used 17-inch LCD Studio Display with the ADC cord, and the original owner included in the original box a clear, plastic, triangular, or tri-leg shaped bracket.  The corners are about 5 inches apart.  It appears to have two screw holes in the middle spaced not quite two inches apart.  Does anyone who owned one of these know what it is for?  I can't find a manual for it, nor was one included.
