    hit M on every 4th beat of the 'music' ... = needs 4 cuts btw. 2 marks

    try to find out the bpm of your tune (there're tools avail...), do some math, rule-of-three ..

    look into the audio track, there are 'spikes' ....

     

    plus, editing 'mechanically' on the beat is boring; look out/listen for accents, increases, pauses. ...

    the few dub steps tunes I'm aware of (me old man), offer some excellent 'drama'

    this Mercedes (yep, old men's car brand…) commercial brought my attention to that genre, years ago - excellent edit, never 'boom boom' to the beat.
