If you want reduce the amount of data on your MBP, download from the Internet OmniDiskSweeper and/or Grand Perspective (both free) and open them. They will show all of your files and the respective sizes. Transfer files to an external HDD or delete them. Do not forget to empty trash.
Ciao.

Dec 25, 2014 10:03 AM in response to Dusky63by OGELTHORPE,I do not understand what you are trying to tell me. I do not understand your abbreviations - 'Go', 'GO', and 'Mo'. If need be, write in your native language and I will use Google translate and see if I can understand you better. If you can post images, that may help.
As a guess on my part, reindex Spotlight and see if that has a positive effect on the category display. This has been a problem with Yosemite.
Ciao.
