Same issue here. Does anyone *not* have the issue?
Report it to Apple at http://www.apple.com/feedback/
On my iPhone 5s it's displayed in black. Try a Reset by holding down the Wake/Sleep and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears.
Thanks, Rysz.
I tried a reset and the problem persists. I've submitted a report at the link you provided and referenced this thread.
Interested to hear from other iPhone 6 users -- do you experience this problem or not?
Steve
Not.
I don't actually use the Notes app, but I have just tried it and no problem - status bar displays just fine.
I found a solution that works for me. I inverted my display colors, then changed them back.

I'm curious if those having the problem restored their iPhone from a backup, or started using it as a new phone. If the former, what phone did you restore from?
