Dec 27, 2014 2:24 PM in response to alex_h1by HotTub100,Thanks for the reply Alex,
I looked through the attached article and can be certain that the issue isn't network related (either Broadband or internal Ethernet). I know this because my other purchased iTunes shows stream from my PC to the AppleTV just fine over Ethernet (home network). The rental movie has already been downloaded and is sitting in my iTunes library with all the other content that streams just fine.
Ergo, it's almost certainly something to do with the rental movie.
Frustrating!

If this is only happening on one rental from iTunes, then please report a problem with the rental using the link below.

Dec 30, 2014 3:16 PM in response to alex_h1by HotTub100,Hey Alex,
Thanks for taking the time to reply. It's happenning on multiple rentals which is very annoying. Interestingly, once I click on the movie via Apple TV, the rental countdown clock starts (back in iTunes), but the movie won't play across the network.
Really strange...

Jan 10, 2015 5:09 PM in response to HotTub100by QuarterSwede,★HelpfulI had a similar if not same problem with a recent rental not starting while it would playback everything else, trailers included. The only thing that fixed it immediately was rebooting the Apple TV. After that it started streaming immediately.

Jan 10, 2015 5:46 PM in response to QuarterSwedeby HotTub100,I've rebooted both the PC and the AppleTV multiple times. For a while nothing happenned, then the rental played back. It's frustrating because I don't know that rebooting fixed it and I'm wary of renting anymore movies in case I have the same problem.
Also, the movie sucked!
Cheers
