how do I create more space on my start up disc?

I cannot upgrade my OS bc it says that there is not enough room on my start-up disc. How do I create more room??

Move stuff off to an external drive and delete it from the startup drive.

Please post which OS version you are running - it's not IOS.

It's best to only delete or move things in your user folder (the one with the house icon), and Pictures, movies, videos, etc. are the most space hogging, so they're better off on an external drive.
