Dec 26, 2014 11:09 AM in response to fabio168by Frank Caggiano,No difference, as rkaufmann87 pointed out this is a reference to the Fusion technology in general.
If you follow the link on that page Learn more about Performance you get this:
Fusion Drive.
Fusion Drive is a breakthrough concept that combines the high storage capacity of a traditional hard drive with the high performance of flash storage. With Fusion Drive in your iMac with Retina 5K display, disk-intensive tasks — from booting up to launching apps to importing high-definition photos and video — are faster and more efficient. That’s because frequently used items are kept at the ready on speedy flash storage, while infrequently accessed items go to the hard drive. The file transfers take place in the background, so you won’t even notice.
For maximum performance, you can configure iMac with Retina 5K display with up to 1TB of flash storage.1

So the Fusion drive technology has not been upgraded.

Dec 26, 2014 11:14 AM in response to fabio168by Allan Eckert,I think what is new there is that the sales department got a hold of the concept of the Fusion Drive and they are running with it.
Until I see something with more details then that I am choking that one up to a salesman talking to me and nothing more.
